Game Archives 2009 season:

Week 10 Super Bowl Game Results:

Whalers 14
Hanson 12

In one of the most exciting Super Bowl games in OCYFL Division 4 history, the Whalers were able to hold off the Hanson Warriors in the final seconds to bring home the Championship. Stellar play on both sides of the ball propelled the Whalers to the victory. It was a true team effort! Congratulations! Week 9 Play-off Game Results:

Whalers 32
West Bridgewater 6

The Whalers avenged an earlier loss to West Bridgewater with a dominating performance on both sides of the ball last night. The teams traded touchdowns in the early going then the Whalers took control of the game by halftime and never looked back. The offense was solid on the ground and in the air while the defense shut down the tough Wildcat offense. Now its onto the SUPER BOWL next Sunday in Pembroke at 2:00PM. Good Luck Whalers!

Week 8 Game Results:

Whalers 8
Raynham 28

Tough game against Division 3 Raynham. The Whalers played them almost even in the first half but Raynham proved to be too much in the end. Congratulations to the Whalers for a great regular season. Now onto the playoffs.

Week 7 Game Results:

Whalers 28
Pembroke 8

Peaking at the right time of the season the Whalers are operating on all cylinders. For the second week in a row they played solidly on both sides of the ball. The key to this game was the blocking of the offensive line and some key down field blocks highlighted by Dan Hilson and Alex Ferguson. Once again Tim Bulens and Pete Thorbahn help key the victory with several long runs and the defense continued it's dominance. Following the game, the symbolic Whalers shovel, signed by all the players, stood quietly next to the bench. A testament to the Whalers motto of digging in and working together as a team. You earned your play-off game today. Job well done Whalers.

Week 6 Game Results:

Whalers 26
Hull 6

The Whalers scored first and never looked back in a dominating performance against a talented Hull team. Tim Bulens had three long touchdowns runs and Pete Thorbahn added a fourth score as the offense put together their best all around effort of the season. The defense was equally as impressive in holding the Pirates to only one touchdown. Well done!

Week 5 Game Results:

Whalers 6
Hanson 8

Week 4 Game Results:

Whalers 0
West Bridgewater 6

Week 3 Game Results:

Whalers 20
East Bridgewater 36

Week 2 Game Results:

Whalers 8
Whitman 8

The Whalers had to overcome some adversity in the first half but came back solid in the 3rd and 4th quarters and earned an 8-8 tie with Whitman yesterday. The game featured two evenly matched teams and several standout plays on both sides of the ball. With under a minute left the Whalers were driving for the game winning score but came up short as time expired.

Week 1 Game Results:

Whalers 8
Rockland 8

The Whalers battled a tough Division 3 Rockland team today to an 8-8 tie. The Whalers started the game by scoring on their opening drive on a sweep by Charlie Perfetuo. Tim Bulens was able to tack on the two point conversion for an early 8-0 lead. The backfield of Alex Ferguson, Parker Kent, Adam Sifflard, Peter Thorbahn and Dan Hilson were able to control most of the first half due in large part to some great runs coupled with some aggresive blocking from the ends and offensive line of Chris Ferraro, Eliot Hillstrand, Paul Sheppard, Pat Hennesey, Peter Dirrubo, Christian Mudge and Jake Smith.

The Whalers clearly won the possesion battle in the first half. Rockland tied it up before the half and that is the way it remained for the rest of the day. The defense was lead by the same players as most played both ways throughout. Alex Ferguson had an interception that was key down the stretch and the linebacker and line play was excellent all day long. Great job!
