Volunteering with Norwell Youth Football & Cheerleading
NYF&C is fortunate to have strong support from our families. In addition to the tremendous amount of time given by our coaches, support also extends to Snack Bar, Front Gate and Chain Gangs during our home games.

The dates and times for our home games are listed below. As you can see junior varsity (JV) plays at home Saturday mornings (with one exception, which is Tuesday evening, 10/26) and varsity will play their home games Saturday nights. The snack bar and front gate will be in full swing during both junior varsity and the varsity games. Whether your child plays mornings or evenings typically determines when parents volunteer. Now that rosters are finalized we have begun assigning shifts.

Here is an example: If you are the parent of a junior varsity (JV) Schooner player you could choose to help with the front gate to collect voluntary donations and raffle tickets, or help with the set up of the snack bar. Whaler parents can choose to help during the game before (Schooners) or after (Clippers) the Whaler games. The same idea applies to the Saturday evening games. For the first shifts on Saturday mornings and the first shift for Saturday nights, we ask that you arrive at least one half hour before to help with the set up.

Following the last games we need extra hands for clean up. Volunteer times are listed below and you can sign up by emailing Cyndi MacKinlay at cgamh5@comcast.net. JV Home Games Dates: October 9, October 16, and October 30 (10/26 is a home game on Tuesday evening and the snack bar will not be open). JV Game Times: Schooners 9am, Whalers 10am, Clippers 11am.

JV Snack Bar Shifts: Schooner Games 8:30-10, Whaler Games 9:45-11, Clipper Games 10:45-12:00.

JV Front Gate Shifts: Schooners 8:30-9:am Whalers: 9:30-10am Clippers 10:30-11am.

Varsity Home Game Dates: October 2, October 9, October 16 and October 30. Varsity Game Times: Schooners 5:00pm, Whalers 6:30pm, Clippers 8pm.

Varsity Snack Bar Shifts: Schooner Games 4:30-6:00pm, Whaler Games 6:15-7:30, Clippers: 7:45-9:00pm.

Varsity Front Gate Shifts: Schooners 4:30-5:00pm, Whalers 6pm-6:30pm, Clippers 7:30-8:00pm.
