JV Clippers 14
Taunton 6
The JV Clippers took on and defeated a big Division Two opponent Taunton yesterday 14-6. The entire team was fired up and aggressive from the opening kickoff. Nate Lewis and Chris Ferrarro were running over and through would be tacklers, while Justin Gadreau and Will Hedstrom were coming off the ball and opening holes for the running backs.
On defense, Taunton could not get outside on corners Charlie Perfeteo and Mike Smith. Jack Marsico, Paul Sheppard and Zack Cash were constantly disrupting plays in the offensive backfield. Nick Daniels at safety was coming up strong to stop any potential big plays. The victory was virtually sealed, when Chris Holland boomed a 40 yard punt to pin Taunton inside its own 20 yard line with less than 2 minutes to play. A great first win!!!!
